TeamO's Hi-Lift lifejacket was presented to the public for the first time at METS 2024. A remarkable debut, winning the DAME Award in all categories.
A new design for improved buoyancy

TeamO's Hi-Lift reinvents the way users are kept out of the water. Unlike conventional vests with a horseshoe-shaped lung, it redistributes buoyancy aft thanks to an inflatable cushion positioned on the back, at the top of the back. This unique design keeps the mouth up to 60% higher above the water surface than with standard models.
This innovation addresses a key issue: the distance between the water surface and the mouth, known as the "freeboard". With buoyancy equivalent to a 275 N vest, but for a size of 150 N, the Hi-Lift exceeds even the standards of conventional ocean vests.
BackTow technology: safety and comfort in the event of a fall

The patented BackTow technology is also one of this model's strong points. Conventional safety harnesses usually keep the wearer face down in the water while being towed, with the lanyard attached to the front of the vest. The BackTow system automatically reposition the wearer to a seated, face-up position in the event of a fall into the water, thanks to the lanyard that swings over the middle of the back.

This mechanism not only helps to keep the airway clear, but also serves as an approved lifting point to facilitate rescue. By simply pulling a handle on the front of the vest, the wearer repositions his or her harness backwards, ensuring a secure posture to await rescue.
A vest designed for extreme situations

The TeamO Hi-Lift offers more than just buoyancy and harness performance. It is designed for tough conditions, incorporating :
- Integrated sprayhood to protect against splashes.
- A SOLAS light to remain visible even at night.
- A double subcutaneous strap keeps the vest in place, whatever the situation.
- A whistle to alert emergency services.
These features make this model a complete solution for yachtsmen and professionals on the high seas.
ISO standards and versatility

The Hi-Lift complies with several ISO standards, making it suitable for a wide range of applications:
- ISO 12401 for bridge harnesses.
- ISO 12402-3 for a 150N lifejacket.
- ISO 12402-6, allowing user-conversion as required.
- ISO 12402-8 for sprayhood.
This versatility guarantees adaptation to the specific needs of sailors, whether in coastal or ocean sailing.
Ergonomics designed for comfort
The Hi-Lift design includes a wide collar and reinforced neck support. This choice enhances comfort, even when worn for long hours. When inflated, the vest offers lateral stability thanks to its widened front shape, preventing any risk of tipping over.
