New Garmin Fusion Apollo Marine speakers and subwoofers: Onboard sound redefined

Boaters are always on the lookout for ways to improve their onboard experience, and the audio system is a key component. With its new series of Fusion Apollo speakers and subwoofers, Garmin offers a package that combines sound quality and personalization.

On October 1, 2024, Garmin unveiled this series, which features high-fidelity sound and a design adaptable to any type of boat. But how does this equipment stack up in the demanding world of marine electronics?

Audio performance adapted to the marine environment

Fusion Apollo loudspeakers and subwoofers feature durable components specially designed for use in marine environments. Thanks to the use of a new composite material and an optimized motor, they guarantee high-fidelity sound even at high volumes. The subwoofers, in particular, enable users to feel the bass clearly and powerfully, a considerable asset for music lovers on the high seas.

The system is compatible with Fusion stereo systems, enabling ecosystem installation. This means that boaters can enjoy distortion-free listening, even in difficult conditions, while controlling the system via a connected watch or a smartphone compatible with the Fusion Audio app.

Customization and adaptable design: sound that also adapts to aesthetics

One of the special features of the Apollo series is the ability to fully customize the appearance of the speakers. Garmin offers interchangeable grilles, available in white or gray, Sports Edition, or perforated, which can be installed easily and without visible screws. Boaters can thus adapt the aesthetics of their audio installation to suit their boat and their desires.

What's more, two-tone LED rings let you play with the atmosphere on board. From pastels to bright hues, the colors can be adapted to the desired atmosphere and controlled via a Garmin Spectra LED module, compatible with the ActiveCaptain app.

A complete range for optimum integration

Garmin has designed the Fusion Apollo series to meet all size and installation requirements. Marine coaxial loudspeakers are available in three sizes: 6.5", 7.7" and 8.8". Premium subwoofers are available in 10" and 12" models, for integration in boats of all sizes, from small pleasure craft to yachts.

Fusion Apollo loudspeakers and subwoofers are priced from ?499.99 to ?949.99, depending on model and options.

Marine standards and durability: equipment designed to last

Conditions at sea are relentless. Between humidity, salt spray, temperature variations and UV rays, equipment must be resistant. Fusion Apollo loudspeakers and subwoofers meet IP66 and IP67 standards, guaranteeing water and dust tightness. What's more, they comply with ISO12216, which assesses resistance to pressure and watertightness. A guarantee of quality that comes with a three-year warranty.
