Roto Nautica is a Slovenian brand that produces rotomolded parts, in particular boats. Its flagship model is the 4.50 m Roto 450. But to succeed in building a 6.50 m boat with this construction method is quite rare, given the size of the parts.
A huge rotomolded piece

To produce the Korkyra 650, the shipyard produces 2 parts, visible on the boat with the two distinct colors. The bow and stern are bolted together. A special feature of this construction is that the rotomolded material is lined on the inside with a layer of foam, which not only ensures unsinkability, but also increases the overall rigidity. It's a true sandwich construction.

The polyethylene used in rotomolded construction is impact and UV-resistant, extremely strong and, above all, totally recyclable at the end of its life. By re-melting it, you can build a boat all over again.
Single or twin-engine

The Korkira measures 2.40 m wide and is approved for 12 people in category D (C 10). It can be fitted with an 1140hp single-engine or, as we discovered, a 2 x 60hp twin-engine version.
The platform is equipped as standard with a console with steering wheel offset to starboard, 2 pilot and co-pilot seats, and lockers running the length of the planking, providing ample seating. Handrails are also provided for passenger safety. Of particular note is the EVA deck covering, soft and comfortable under bare feet.

Naked hull, the Korkira is available at ?40,750 ex VAT. The optional boat we saw with its hard top and 2 x 60 hp Hidea is available at ?70,911 ex VAT.
