Ava Yachts, a shipyard specializing in Explorer construction
Based in Antalya, Turkey, the Ava Yachts shipyard has built a solid reputation in the construction of long-range exploration trawlers, from 24 to 50 m. Founded by Atilla Küçükdiker, Ava Yachts combines state-of-the-art engineering and contemporary design to offer robust, luxurious and highly customizable vessels.

Kando85, a long-range exploration yacht
Ava Yachts recently unveiled its latest model, the Kando85, a 25.70-meter-long explorer yacht. Built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, the Kando85 is designed for long distances around the world. With its generous interior volume (200 Tx) and 24,000-liter fuel tanks, it can cover up to 4,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots, with a fuel consumption of just 63 liters per hour. This is a true trawler, with a top speed of 11 knots.

A displacement hull for smooth sailing
The Kando 85 is powered by two Volvo Penta D13MG engines, each rated at 408 hp, giving it a top speed of 11 knots. Its displacement hull and bulbous bow ensure long range and optimum stability at sea. The underwater steel structure, 8 to 10 mm thick, and multiple watertight bulkheads guarantee maximum safety.

With or without crew
With a waterline length of less than 24 m, she can be operated by a crew or privately by an owner. Atilla Küçükdiker, president and founder of Ava Yachts, said: "Our soft launch last year of the Kando80 demonstrated strong interest in an Explorer yacht in this size range. So we developed the Kando85 from the smaller model. Its length can be operated both by a full crew and by an experienced couple or family alone, or accompanied by a small crew."

Comfort and customization for the interior of the Kando 85
The interior of the Kando 85 is designed to offer exceptional comfort, with a standard layout of four cabins, including a master suite on the main deck. Owners can personalize the décor and interior layout to suit their preferences. Large, full-height windows offer panoramic views and bring an abundance of natural light to the interior.

Construction began in Turkey, and the keel was laid in early June 2024. Delivery is scheduled for summer 2025, and the first unit will be presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival in the same year. The next models ordered will be delivered from the 3rd quarter of 2025.
