For over 20 years, Tinn Silver builds aluminum boats . Based in the Netherlands, close to the German border on the banks of the Meuse, the yard specializes in aluminum construction. The range starts with small boats and extends to launches over 9 m long.

The advantages of aluminium

Choosing a Tinn-Silver boat offers several significant advantages, based on the characteristics of the material used, aluminum, which are worth recalling.

  • Robustness and versatility

Tinn-Silver boats are renowned for their robustness and versatility, making them ideal for a wide range of uses, from public service missions (fire departments, river police, rescue brigades) to leisure activities such as fishing and pleasure boating. This versatility is further enhanced by Tinn-Silver's complete customization capability, enabling customers to have a boat that precisely meets their specific needs.

  • Construction quality and durability

High-quality welding and perfect finishing guarantee the longevity of Tinn-Silver boats. The aluminum, 4 to 5 mm thick depending on boat size, is not subject to rust, rot or warping. It retains its shape and functionality over the long term, ensuring good value for money.

  • Low-maintenance

Another major advantage of aluminum boats is their ease of maintenance. Aluminum requires no painting. It is naturally resistant to corrosion, which considerably reduces the need for regular maintenance and the associated costs. This characteristic makes these boats an economical and practical choice for users.

  • Lightweight

The aluminum construction makes the boats lightweight, which improves maneuverability on the water and facilitates transport and towing. This lightness also means better performance in terms of speed and energy efficiency than boats of similar dimensions made from other materials.

  • Security

With the reduced flammability of aluminum, these boats offer enhanced safety. What's more, their robust design can withstand significant impacts without suffering critical damage. Aesthetically, aluminum gives Tinn-Silver boats a distinctive look that stands out on the water.

  • Environmental sustainability

Last but not least, aluminum is a durable and fully recyclable material. So it's an environmentally-friendly choice.

La Tinn Silver 350

The latest model in the range, the Tin Silver 350, 3.50 m long, is made of 4 mm thick aluminum . It is approved in category C for 4 people. Weighing 300 kg and 1.60 m wide, it is easy to transport on a trailer.

In terms of fittings, the deck is well secured by solid handrails. The bow and stern lockers provide space for equipment, mooring gear, a nurse or a battery, depending on configuration. A wide black rubber peripheral baffle surrounds the boat, judiciously replacing or complementing the fenders.

Finally, a console for a steering wheel and remote control is also available. With 30 hp of maximum power, a steering wheel should be considered, but with a lower motorization, it won't be essential. In all cases, the shipyard can customize the boat to the owner's specifications.

The model presented at Düsseldorf in January 2024 was the electric version, christened "e". A good way of showing that these boats can also be used on lakes where combustion engines are prohibited.

Pricing for the Tinn Silver starts at ?12,250 (incl. VAT) without engine. Optional extras, such as a steering console, under-deck foam for buoyancy and a carpeted floor, are available on request.
