Furuno France offers two new probes: FCV600 and FCV800

For the new year, Furuno France is offering two new fishfinders, the FCV600 and FCV800. These new fishfinders are available in two sizes, 5.7" for the FCV600 and 8.4" for the FCV800. They integrate all Furuno features and help you fish better.

World leader in marine navigation electronics, Furuno France offers two new fishfinders, the FCV600 and FCV800.

The FCV600 & FCV800 are 5.7" and 8.4" TruEcho CHIRPTM fishfinders featuring a host of Furuno technologies. Indeed, the FCV600 and FCV800 combine the power of TruEcho CHIRP? with a series of revolutionary identification technologies to clearly distinguish fish from other structures, such as seabeds or wrecks.

More details

Traditional CW (Continuous Waves) sounders transmit a signal consisting of a single frequency, while CHIRP sounders transmit a frequency-modulated linear signal whose frequency increases with time. The FCV600 and FCV800 can use a wide-band frequency probe, for better target resolution. With Furuno's TruEcho CHIRP? technology, you'll get more detail and better target separation for baitfish, predator fish and bottom structures. A guarantee of success during tough fishing sessions.

Evaluating fish size

The fish size assessment feature, ACCU-FISH?, is an exclusive Furuno technology. It instantly identifies individual fish enabling the size of each fish to be assessed. The intensity of the echoes is analyzed and displayed on the screen according to their size (10 to 199 cm, at a depth of 2 to 100 m).

Background discrimination function

The bottom discrimination function allows the sounder to indicate whether the bottom is mainly rock, gravel, sand or mud. A very useful function for obtaining valuable information that helps you to know the biotope on which you are fishing and to locate the best fishing spots. The standard graphic display mode shows the most likely bottom composition in graphic form or in four colors. The probability display mode shows the most probable bottom composition in graphic form.

On the FCV800, combine TruEcho CHIRP? and CW probes to be able to use all functions: TruEcho CHIRP?, ACCU-FISH? and Background Discrimination.

Revolutionary technology

RezBoost? is a revolutionary signal processing technology developed by Furuno that improves resolution and target separation using conventional CW narrowband probes. Spot predatory fish individually surrounding forage fish near the seabed. With RezBoost?, you get better resolution and sharper images, as well as an improvement in the ACCU-FISH? function. RezBoost? can significantly enhance the capabilities of conventional narrow-band probes. Compared with conventional signal processing techniques (FDF), a RezBoost? fishfinder produces an image up to 8 times sharper. An appreciable convenience for improving approach and increasing results.

Other new features

The FCV600 and FCV800 fishfinders have many other new features, such as an extended color range for intuitive, at-a-glance identification of fish echoes. Reefs, structures and fish close to the seabed will be represented in distinct colors.

A second screen can also be installed to display echoes and navigation data from the FCV600 and FCV800 via a wireless network, allowing you to view the sounder display from the stern or bow during your fishing session. For the first time on compact sounder models, you'll find gain post-processing, which allows you to apply adjusted gain parameters to the display history.

The FCV 600 is available at ?1,499 and the FCV 800 at ?2,429 (prices 2024 inc. VAT).
