A sporty semi-rigid "just the right size
Highfield continues to develop its Sport range, offering higher trim and equipment levels on its proven aluminum hulls. With the new Highfield Sport 800, the brand presents its second largest model, after the 900. A boat for which it has chosen to offer the same level of equipment, but on a semi-rigid of "only" 8 m, and which therefore remains more easily transportable, an important factor for family use.
A well-equipped living space
Access to the boat is via a good-sized rear platform, which incorporates a ladder in its thickness. Handrails and cleats are also useful.
The aft cockpit bench seat, facing forward, can be folded forward to make room for a stern sundeck, in combination with a fixed cushion aft. A table and a second bench seat facing each other create a beautiful living space at anchor, easily accommodating 7 to 8 people by taking advantage of the seating on the floats. A drawer fridge slides under the front bench seat.
Protected control
The box that supports the bench seat also incorporates storage space at the front, and houses the pilot and co-pilot seats, designed for both standing and seated driving.
The version we visited was fitted with a rigid top. Combined with a fairly high windshield, the rider is well protected during navigation. Its uprights also offer points to hold on to during navigation.
Further forward, a console seat lets you navigate facing the road. A very large trunk is hidden beneath the foredeck and its large sundeck.
The davit is integrated into a polyester piece that can be used as a landing step and also accommodates a cleat for mooring.
An optional toilet and roll bar can be added to the console. The floats offer beautifully integrated grips along the entire length.
The Highfield Sport 800 can be fitted with up to 350 or 2x200 hp. The boat will start at ?99,500 incl. VAT in 2023.
