Fondation de la Voile: A new lever for financing a committed sport

The FFVoile announces the creation of the Fondation de la Voile. A structure designed to raise funds to support projects aimed at the social and ecological development of sailing.

A foundation for sailing transitions

To help make sailing more inclusive, FFVoile has announced the creation of a new structure called the Fondation de la Voile. Housed within the Fondation du Sport Français, this new foundation is designed to "to promote all forward-looking initiatives in line with the fundamental values of sailing, and to encourage ever more inclusive sailing." With this new foundation, the French Sailing Federation aims to raise funds for social and environmental projects, while benefiting from the expertise of other sports.

Businesses and individual yachtsmen can become donors to the foundation. They benefit from a tax reduction of 60% of corporate income tax for companies and 66% of personal income tax for individuals.

Two initial social and ecological projects

Two projects, already in the FFVoile pipeline, will be proposed to the foundation. One is the "La mer est à Vous" project, which supports professional integration in the maritime environment, and the other is "Course au Large 2030, s'align ensemble avec l'accord de Paris et les limites planétaires", which aims to reflect on and propose solutions for more virtuous ocean racing, an obligation that the industry will have to meet quickly in view of the recurrent criticism of its environmental footprint that it has been facing in recent months.
