New functions
Combining power and functionality, the ECHOMAP Ultra 2 series will meet the needs of many anglers thanks to new functions:
- Wireless network connection: share sounder images1 , waypoints and routes with another ECHOMAP Ultra 2 or ECHOMAP UHD2 plotter on the boat. So there's no need to drill additional holes or clutter the deck with extra cables.
- Position accuracy: multi-band GPS technology with rapid 10 Hz updates improves position accuracy. A real advantage for freshwater anglers who cast their lines under bridges, along ditches or in tree-sheltered creeks.
- Screen recording: the ActiveCaptain® application lets you capture what's displayed on the plotter's screen, including catches detected by the LiveScope? fishfinder (if installed) for later sharing via SMS or social networks.
- Ease of use: featuring a modernized operating system with updated graphics and menus, as well as a new home page, the Ultra 2 series is intuitive and easy to use.
To enjoy realistic images of fish and bottom structure, anglers can opt for the Ultra 2 package, which includes an all-in-one GT56UHD sounder. This provides traditional Garmin CHIRP sounder and ClearVü? and SideVü? ultra-high-definition scanning sounder images of what lies below and to the sides of the boat. The new series also supports the full range of LiveScope real-time scanning fishfinders.
Two models, 10 and 12 inches
This new series offers two models of different sizes, the ECHOMAP Ultra 2 102sv with a 10" screen and the ECHOMAP Ultra 2 122sv with a 12" screen. It offers unrivalled map coverage and detail for both coastal and inland waters, with optional support for Garmin Navionics+. In addition to the included 1-year subscription for daily updates, Garmin Navionics+ includes depth shading and Auto Guidance+2 technology for faster calculation of route suggestions.
Anglers can also upgrade to Garmin Navionics Vision+? premium mapping, which includes high-resolution shading and many other features. The ECHOMAP Ultra 2 also incorporate Quickdraw Contours? mapping software, which instantly creates customized HD fishing maps with 0.5 m contours on any body of water.
Wireless integration with the Garmin Force® electric motor allows anglers to create routes, patterns and trails for the motor to follow while fishing. On the plotter's screen, you can control speed, check battery life and more. All to simplify your fishing.
Prices and availability
ECHOMAP Ultra 2 tracers feature a quick-release bracket for easy relocation. They will be available from November, with or without the GT56UHD-TM probe. The recommended retail price is between ?2,249.99 and ?3,569.99.
