Spanish shipyard Tesoro Yachts launched in 2019 with a t38 monocoque followed by the T40 . Two open yachts that stand out for their build quality and finish. For 2023, on the occasion of the Cannes Yachting Festival, Tesoro presents a T38 Power Cat . A boat in the same vein as its predecessors, but this time as a catamaran.
Stability and living space
In order to gain in living space and stability, Tesoro is entering the competitive catamaran market for day trips. With 2 x 400 hp Mercury V10 outboards, the boat reaches a top speed of 32 knots, and cruises at 24 knots. With its 900-liter fuel tank, this makes it possible to envisage crossings of around 200 miles. For these sunny outings, this catamaran can carry up to 14 people.
Central circulation
Movement on board is via a central axis. In fact, the boat has no side decks at all, to make the most of the width of the living space. As a result, the boat is symmetrically divided in two. This division is reassuring for the crew, who can move safely through the middle of the boat.
Comfort and modularity
Forward, a cockpit and 2 sunbathing areas. Aft, the console protects a galley on the port side and the helm station on the opposite side. Finally, in the aft cockpit, two squares face each other, modular squares that can be transformed into a dining area with a U-shaped bench seat, or a large sunbathing area. The boat ends with a huge sundeck.
The Tesoro's silhouette is distinguished by its T-Top, a huge carbon part held in place by two unique supports that shape the catamaran's aggressive lines.
Two small cabins
There are two identical cabins under the consoles. Each has its own bathroom and a single berth. These spaces are more suitable for a siesta than for a real cruise, even if the latter is possible.
