Continued renewal of Oceanis
The new Oceanis 37.1 is the latest model in the Oceanis range to be renewed as part of the 7th generation of Bénéteau's flagship series. It takes up the codes of the new generation of liveaboard sailboats, with the Lombard naval architecture firm and Nauta Design for the layout: more volume and performance.
A powerful bilge
As is now customary to offer more volume on board while maintaining performance under sail, the hull features a chine running along the entire length of the side, from stem to transom. Available with a long draught of 2.10 m or a short draught of 1.63 m, this 11.93 m overall yacht has a light displacement of 6,864 kg. Its sail area of 60 m2 upwind as standard with a self-tacking jib, and 74.5 m2 in the performance version, should deliver the performance of a modern cruising yacht.

A vast cockpit
The first place to look for space is aft. By doing away with the backstay, the Oceanis 37.1 makes it easy to move around the tilting transom, which serves as a swimming platform. The door to the liferaft locker offers a generous access step. The helm seats disappear to complete the circulation area.

Two helm stations with console are located on each side. 6 to 8 people can sit on the cockpit benches.

The piano, on either side of the descent, has its ends collected in troughs that are perhaps a little cumbersome for traffic.

A bright interior
The volume below deck, combined with the choice of colors, gives a feeling of space as you descend into the saloon. On the port side, the saloon, with its generous bench seating and bench seat, easily accommodates 6 people. A real chart table takes its place at the rear of the saloon and has the merit of not having disappeared, even if the seat with its back to the step can be confusing when sailing.

A galley along the starboard side wall provides the essential tools for the rooster, with gas stove and refrigerator.

The Oceanis 37.1 is available in 2 or 3 cabin versions, with 1 or 2 bathrooms. In the two-cabin version, the port aft cabin is slightly larger, while the starboard side houses a large storage area. The second bathroom, if required, is located in the forward cabin, with the berth positioned crosswise.

The 2023 base price for the Oceanis 37.1 is ?300,812 incl. VAT.
