Born of a fishing enthusiast's dream
The Nakhoda brand was born of the passion of John Jiang, the brand's founder and an avid fisherman. From an early age, John Jiang was drawn to fishing, a passion that has continued to grow with each passing year, as has the size of his catch. In 2007, at the end of his school career, John took part in his first fishing competition and began to take an interest in bass boats. Two years later, he set up his own fishing club, and in 2010 built his first fiberglass bassboat in his own garage.
A success story
The presence of his hand-built bass-boat at various fishing competitions leaves no angler indifferent. There's something about this boat, it appeals to anglers and its behavior on the water is surprising. In 2011, he took part in several fishing competitions in China under the Imakatsu colors. Encouraged by the response from other anglers, John Jiang decided to launch production of Nakhoda bass boats on a larger scale.
In 2013, over 200 bass-boats were built and sold to the delight of anglers. And in 2014, John decides to sponsor the best Chinese anglers to continue improving the quality of his bass-boats. And so, in 2020, the new Nakhoda aluminum bass-boat models are launched on the market.
Select Plaisance exclusive distributor of Nakhoda
Since 2006, Select Plaisance has been developing its business as a manufacturer/importer of boats dedicated to pleasure boating, notably with its Selection Boats brand. In recent years, Select Plaisance has turned its attention to boats specially designed for fishing enthusiasts.
