For a nice stopover in the roadstead of Brest, go to the small port of Le Fret. It has lost none of its charm of yesteryear. Let's have a look at this pleasant anchorage on the Crozon peninsula.

A strategic location in the harbor
After Morgat and Camaret, Le Fret is the third port of the Crozon Peninsula. Located in front of Brest, on the south shore of the bay, it depends on the town of Crozon. Thanks to a maritime link, during the summer season, between Brest and le Fret, the hamlet is a privileged gateway to the peninsula.

A small traditional port
A small sardine port in the nineteenth century, Le Fret has retained all the charm of a traditional port. Its quay, the friendly restaurants that line it, the holds that are suitable for fishing and practical for dinghies, make the anchorage very pleasant.
Some wrecks of old boats lie on the furrow that separates the sea from the pond of Fret. The latter is a protected resting place for migratory birds.

A mooring on a mooring line
The port of Le Fret offers nearly 70 moorings reserved for the year. In winter, the boats are put on dry land. The location of Le Fret, well sheltered by the Ile Longue, allows it to be very protected from the prevailing westerly sector.
Behind the buoys, there is plenty of room to anchor.

Few services nearby
The hamlet of Le Fret offers few services, except for food and lodging. However, selective sorting containers are available near the quay. A restaurant, a café and a grocery store provide the essentials.
A little further, in Lanvéoc, there is a bakery and a grocery store. It takes a little less than five kilometers from the port of Le Fret.
