A 28-foot family and sport sailor
Bente Yachts has made its mark since its 2015 founding by architect Rolf Vroljik's son Alexander Vrolijk and Stephan Boden. But the shipyard had its difficulties, until it was taken over at the court bar in 2020. Since then, the new owner, Christian Daum, has revived the activity until he released his first new model, the Bente 28, with the architects of the Judel-Vrolijk firm. This one, taking up all the codes of the brand, is intended, according to the shipyard, for sailing, family and sport.

Built in Poland by Yachtservice for Bente Yachts, the yacht has a glass-polyester sandwich infusion hull, with the deck being made in contact. The bulkheads are laminated to the hull.
A well protected cockpit
The Bente 28 proudly displays the brand's characteristic colored hoop behind the roof. Relatively high, it effectively protects the piano and the cockpit, as well as the companionway, even if it partially obstructs the crew's view of the bow.
The coamings are also large, so the cockpit benches are well protected.

The helmsman will control his double rudders, well secured at the back in the balcony. The deck layout is very simple, with one winch on each side, used for both the piano and the 22 m2 genoa sheet, while a turret is used for the 33.2 m2 mainsheet.
At anchor, the wide open transom offers a nice access to the water.
An extremely bright interior
Access to the interior of the boat is through a slightly offset companionway to port, which is particularly generous for a yacht of this size. The roll bar protects it, whatever the sailing conditions. The view forward through the large windows of the roof is immediately striking, and gives a surprisingly spacious feeling on a 28-footer. The latter are well tinted, which will surely be appreciated for summer sailing.

The interior layout is classic, but with fabrics and a rather elegant modern finish. On the starboard side of the companionway, there is a small storage area with the electrical panel, but without seating. On the port side, the galley has a sink, electric cooktop and an icebox.

On the aft port side, a double bunk is located under the cockpit, while the starboard side houses the bathroom.

A generous table accommodates the crew in the saloon, while the forward point completes the sleeping arrangements with 2 additional places.

The model visited at the Boot Düsseldorf 2023 was offered in its special edition at 164,900 euros, but the basic version starts at 129,900 euros in the 2023 price list.
