A new brand of cruisers
Bente Yacht is a young German sailboat brand. They made their debut in the nautical world at the Düsseldorf 2015 boat show with the Bente 24. The initiator of Bente Yachts is Alexander A. Vrolijk, the son of the famous German architect, father of the Hanse and many TP52. Together with two other partners, they founded Bente Yachts and developed a modern and customizable cruiser concept. With the Bente 39, a family sailboat for deep-sea cruising, this is a range that is taking shape.

What is the program for this sailboat allemand??
After the commercial success of the Bente 24, Alexander A. Vrolijk had in mind to make a Transat with his young family.
If his heart was attracted by the Class40s, his reason told him to prefer a calmer sailboat with a very good level of interior comfort. So he designed what represents for him the best compromise between performance and comfort for an offshore cruising yacht.
The specifications were based on ease of operation and good performance. That's how they limited the size of the sailboat to 12 m. And above all, they wanted a comfortable and bright interior.
A veranda roof
The most striking feature is the fully glazed roof. Underneath this angular roof is the raised chart table offering a 360° view. This configuration is ideal for the day before, but exposes the interior to sunlight and view.
From the cockpit, this very large roof will protect the crew from the wind.

A design inspired by ocean racing
From the roof to the waterline, the very modern design of the Bente 39, uses bilges and angular cuts. The overall design is inspired by offshore racing yachts, such as the Imoca.
The large open cockpit is equipped with double wheel steering and a central table. The manoeuvres are coming back on both sides of the large roof. The inverted bow is capped with a bowsprit to amuse an asymmetrical spinnaker or gennaker, it also integrates the anchor forceps.

A sober and bright interior
As you enter the interior, an unusual feeling of space emerges. The layout is very stylish: sober, bright and luminous.
- The kitchen is located on either side of the descent with the fridge forming a kind of central island. Although designed for 4 people on a cruise, the saloon table can accommodate 6 people at the port of call.

- In the front there is a large cabin, the rear is dedicated to the large bathroom, a technical hold and a cabin on the starboard side. It is regrettable that the latter lacks height for long term life.
Bente 39, a versatile family cruiser
Although the design is avant-garde, the technical characteristics are conservative. The hull is not extremely wide (4.10 m) and it is not a light displacement (6.5 t for 12 m). This boat should be easy to maneuver and a good walker at all speeds. It should be stable and maintain good downwind averages on a trade wind route, for example.

A future succès??
The Bente 39 draws its inspiration from the production of fast cruising yachts, of which France is a specialist. Without claiming to perform as well as the specialists in the category, the Bente 39 should be a good walker.
German culture brings a different and successful design. With its atypical roof, Bente challenges design codes and offers an interesting alternative.
This boat has a real potential to attract a European clientele. It is rewarding, widely customizable, its price is reasonable and it should be relatively efficient.
In France, distribution is handled by Flahault Marine at Crouesty. At the moment, they have a Bente 24 on trial. This is already a first approach to these German boats (made in Poland).
The basic price announced is 199 200 ? including VAT (ex works, excluding sails and electronics).
