NEXe Lite, an electric furler for "small" sailboats

For Code Zero, asymmetric spinnaker and gennaker headsails, Profurl/Facnor is launching an electric furler for 45 to 50 foot sailboats. Ideal for sails up to 140 m2, this product fills a gap in the NEXe electric furler range.

Profurl/Facnor is offering an electric furler for yachts under 50 feet. The NEXe range already on the market was too heavy for 45 or 50 foot sailboats. With the new NEXe Lite, furling sails under 140 m2 now have their own electric furler.

This small reel is simply installed on the bowsprit of the sailboat. It is delivered complete with its relay box, circuit breaker, cables and deck plug. A storage bag and a protective cover complete this kit. To install it, it is connected to the tack like a classic galley and is connected to a waterproof electrical socket which will be installed on the front deck. Lightweight and compact, installation is no more difficult than a manual furler.

Light and fast

The tests carried out made it possible to put away a 140 m2 code zero in 45 seconds. The reel turns at 85 rpm in 12 V. This without physical effort, just by pressing a button. The consumption of the device is 20 to 25 Ah under load. A wireless remote control is even available as an option.

This product is available under the Profurl and Facnor brand names and is priced from 4,998 euros including tax.
