At Profurl, we believe that tomorrow's sailing will be increasingly assisted. We are already familiar with electric winches that tuck in or out, we know about bow or stern thrusters that make port manoeuvres easier, we also know about electric or hydraulic genoa furlers that roll or unfurl the sail at the touch of a button.
Profurl believes that these products will develop and wants to make it accessible to all practitioners. Thus the new range of electric reefing-furling systems is now available for yachts from 9 m. The new electric furling systems can be installed on forestays from 8 mm diameter upwards.
The C450 and C500 models provide a motorized reel at an affordable price. Indeed the first price of these reels starts from 3500 euros (compared to 8000 euros for the first price before).
For power, these rewinders use several electric motors to provide comfort and safety during rewinding and unwinding. To prevent accidental unfurling of the sail, the reefing system is equipped with a self-locking mechanism.
