Dehler 46 SQ, new options for sailing and living on board

Dehler continues the renewal of its range after the Dehler 38 SQ in 2020 (which replaced the previous model launched in 2013). It is now the largest model in its fleet that is reborn, the Dehler 46 SQ, whose previous model dated from 2015. The decoration and lighting have been redesigned, and evolutions have been integrated in the cockpit and in the rigging.

The Dehler 46 SQ (Speed & Quality) follows the 2020 launch of the Dehler 38 SQ, yachts designed for performance. This new model replaces the previous version of the 14.94 m long (overall) sailboat launched in 2015 and also comes out of the Judel/Vrolijk & co sketchbooks, like its "little" brother.

New options in the cockpit

In the cockpit, the helm stations now have optional footrests to ensure a more comfortable and secure position, especially upwind. The cockpit is more open with the integration of storage for the halyards. Once folded, they are completely flush with the deck. The new swim platform is lighter and easier to use with a swim ladder and folding handrails. Optional remote deployment is available. The optional roll bar offers both an integrated canopy and a clew for the mainsail by replacing the cart positioned in the cockpit.

Other options allow you to customize your sailboat: sportier steering wheels, electric winches or roof sunbeds.

Change in the rigging

The delphinière with underbeam is now proposed as standard and integrates the davit. It offers a more remote tack for the gennaker, Code 0 or asymmetric spinnaker. With the new Facnor Flatdeck furler, the drum is lower to increase the sail area. Another new feature is the possibility to rig a staysail. Performance options can be chosen to increase the potential of the boat: racing rudder and keel, larger carbon mast and high performance Quantum sails.

New interior configurations

inside, to bring more natural light, the hull windows have been enlarged and two additional windows added on the roof. The saloon now offers up to 4 different configurations. The port side bench seat can be moved electrically to the saloon table to create a TV lounge or a full dining area. There are also several chart table options in the catalog.

The en-suite bathroom offers a separate shower cubicle directly accessible from the forward owner's stall, hidden behind a flush door. This new curved door increases freedom of movement in the cabin. There are also several features available for the two rear cabins, including the possibility of integrating scissor beds, since the soundproof longitudinal bulkhead is now asymmetrical. The entrance to the cabs has also gained in space.
