Furuno completes its NXT line of non-magnetron radars (pulse compression radar). This time it's not a larger, more powerful model, but a little brother, an entry-level model perfectly suited to pleasure craft and small boats.
A radome of 49 cm and 6.5 kg
Indeed the DRS2DNXT is radar with a radome of 49 cm in a round housing (contrary to the beam radars). Its size is identical to that of a 4kW pulse radar. For as much this radar functions with the technology of compression of impulse. That is to say that it consumes less, that it does not require preheating and especially that it offers a distinction of target much finer and more readable than the other technologies.
Specific functions for security and fishermen
This technology allows specific functions such as Target Analyze which instantly identifies all potentially dangerous targets, or the Fast Target Trackin function which tracks more than 100 targets simultaneously and automatically up to 3 Mn. A bird mode appreciated by fishermen detects underwater activity by their presence.

This radar, which is limited to a radome (without screen) is compatible with Furuno NavNet TZtouch (V6.03), TZtouch2 (v7.01) and TZtouch3 (V2.01) multifunction handsets. It is available at 2,790 euros including VAT.
