Specialist in the construction of custom yachts
Mauro Coviseri has been developing and producing custom boats between 22 and 55 m, built in steel or aluminum, for 17 years through his company Custom Yachts. He works in collaboration with Sergio Cutolo who is in charge of the engineering part (designer for Palumbo, Cantiere delle Marche, Isa etc.), but also with three designers Marco Casali, Michele Dragoni, Giovanni Ceccarelli. Each boat is built in a shipyard in Ancona, Italy, where the hulls of prestigious shipyards such as Cantiere delle Marche, Riva or CRN are built.
A new boat concept
His new project is the Senses 07, a 22 m long and 6 m wide yacht with a draft of 1.5 m, the first model of the Senses Yacht brand.
"It's a new boat concept, on the border between sailing and motoryacht. The idea for this boat came to me during the pandemic period, when I was talking on the bow of a sailing boat. The design is completely new and it was conceived to be piloted even by one person", he explains.
The Senses 07 is a motor yacht with a modern semi-displacement hull design, with a voluminous straight bow marked by a stretched chine and an inverted bulwark. It was designed by Ceccarelli Yacht Design. The first model is already under construction and is scheduled to be launched in 2022. Its official presentation will take place in Cannes in September of the same year.
A spacious and custom design
At the stern, the large bathing platform (which can be lowered for tender launching or swimming) gives access to the main deck via two side stairs equipped with handrails. It gives direct access, via a magnificent bay window, to the salon with kitchen located on the lower deck. A design that we have already observed on the last Evo V8 . The main deck offers a U-shaped saloon to starboard with a small bar opposite. The steering position with three pilot seats is central and located at the front of the boat. A large rigid hard top covers the entire main deck, which can also be enclosed with an optional electric roof system.
The foredeck, which is accessed from the walkaround deck, is of good size and offers a saloon and a sunbathing area for 3 persons.
Below deck, there are 3 to 4 cabins, including a very nice owner's suite on the bow in the 3-cabin version. All are equipped with a private bathroom with separate shower.
The Senses 07 is powered by a Volvo Penta IPS 950 engine that gives it a maximum speed of 23 knots. The boat is delivered with a lot of equipment, including a GPS, an autopilot, air conditioning and a generator.
