Freedom Boat Club is the world leader in boat clubs. The franchise, which originated in the United States, has more than 300 bases throughout the United States, Canada and now Europe and has thousands of members. It now relies on the Brunswick Group, a leader in motorboat construction. In full development in Europe, it is established in 3 French bases in La Rochelle, Carnon and Cap d'Agde. About thirty clubs are to come in Europe in the next months.
Based on a concept developed in the United States, members pay a one-time entrance fee and a monthly membership fee. They then have unlimited use of the club's boats throughout the year. "The customer has access to the boat whenever he wants. He has the choice of boat and does not have to worry about maintenance, berth, insurance, etc... The objective is that he only keeps the positive experiences" summarizes the manager of the La Rochelle base.
Boats adapted to the water and to the practice
Each base is in charge of choosing its own fleet. Depending on the water and its navigation conditions, it will propose the appropriate boats. "We can also choose the boat according to what we want to do: cruising, fishing, water sports... Every 3 to 4 years, the boats are changed, which guarantees their good condition" reminds the Carnon manager.
More than just an unlimited rental, a full option club
Freedom Boat Club's offering is not just about boating. "Our role is to animate a club around boating. There are real people on site who organize the life of the network of members. We are not just a booking platform. We propose at the same time services of accompaniment to the use of the boat and organize events between the members. The more our customers go out, the happier we are" underlines the manager of Freedom Boat Club Cap d'Agde.
A ratio of number of members per boat is applied in order to ensure that each member can sail regularly, as soon as they wish.
A worldwide network of boat clubs
If the member is attached to a base for his regular practice during the year, ideally near his home, he also benefits from the worldwide network of Freedom Boat Club. He can make 4 reservations each year in each of the 300 other bases of the club. The yachtsman will be able to easily plan his sailing during his vacations in the United States, France, United Kingdom and from 2022 in Spain.
