eTrimaran Orphie 29 : island spirit
Orphie Boats has developed the Orphie 29, an electric trimaran 9 m long and 5 m wide for 11 people, eco-constructed with mostly bio-based composite wood materials. It is equipped with a central hull and two floats, all three with teak finish, connected by two generous trampolines: on board, you can enjoy a sensory navigation as close as possible to the elements, without air or water pollution and in silence. Its all-weather stability allows groups to sail indifferently seated, standing or lying down on the decks, in the salon, or on the trampolines and connecting arms. A shaded cockpit (with a large table for 8/10 people) and a cabin (fridge for 11 catering trays + aperitif, bench seat and toilet) offer all the comfort needed on the water to enjoy a great day.
Finally, its 50 kW Torqeedo outboard motor gives it a cruising speed of 9 knots, a top speed of 15 knots and the possibility of beaching on sand or sailing on 50 cm of water: the possible, easy "land and sea" is also what distinguishes the Orphie 29 from the competition.
Even in rough seas, the specific superior torque of the electric propulsion, combined with the 3 hulls, offers exceptional sea keeping. Whether active or just relaxing, customers feel comfortable sailing or anchoring, and whatever the conditions, the 29 is a true marine creature, adapted to its environment and providing a natural thrill.

Mobile leisure base to enjoy life, the sea and the coastal wonders
Designed for day trips, the Orphie 29 allows you to take on board many water sports items. Its deck area of more than 30 m2 makes it possible to easily embark and mobilize 2 XL paddles, XL buoys, snorkeling equipment for 11 and even eSurf and eFoil so that everyone can enjoy a variety of nautical experiences at anchor or while gently roaming.
"The idea is to develop the electric navigation of pleasure performing at sea and to offer the nautical emulation by embarking on a "base camp" mobile, safe and comfortable, numerous leisure equipment, ultra-easy to deploy use and store, thanks to the configuration of the boat."
Orphie Boats: a service-oriented brand
It is this particular design and architecture that allows the Orphie 29 to introduce new experiences of disconnection to the general public by magnifying them: private navigation services out of the ordinary and accessible to all to discover remarkable areas in a "ready to go" formula.

Always proposed at a minimum, whatever the duration of the service: a navigation-discovery with a mooring and a swimming-snorkelling-paddle. The service identity of the Orphie brand also includes: a benevolent, dedicated and reserved positioning of professional crews, catered meals, aperitifs, soft drinks or a personalized boarding place, vehicle parking. The Club spirit also means accompanying boaters in their discovery and practice of electric navigation. The entertaining and exotic experience is also an initiation to new uses and control (without which power is nothing!), which the times call for.
2 hot spots in the south of France (Provence and Côte d'Azur) and very flexible services at sea
euros its beginnings in 2021, Orphie Boats proposes only day or half-day activities, slots in force in the historical rental activity. The "Sunset" service was soon added and met with great success. What could be more magical than to enjoy a sunset cruise, especially when combined with dancing on the trampolines, the contemplation of a summer evening and, for example, an aperitif formula with frichti traiteuros?
"We want to offer new ways of sailing to match the desires of new sailors: lovers of all ages of the Insulo-Mediterranean lifestyle, tribes sensitive to design, well-being, outdoor practices and the environment, or even the 3 generations together from the same family or group of friends. Sunrise or Sunset sailing, which can be followed or preceded by a substantial half-day trip, is rarely offered and with the Orphie 29 benefits from a very nice experiential course. We also want to focus on slightly new outings, like a chic short trip, with daytime tours that are shorter but just as dense with memorable sensations."
For Hyères and the Golden Islands-Presqu'île de Giens, the Orphie Boats service is integrated into the offer of Philisa Apaca, a very active catamaran sales and rental company, very service-oriented, which wishes to propose a daily rental offer. Currently, few catamarans or trimarans (and a fortiori with their own engines) are available for this type of privatized service, whereas being flat on the water with large deck areas allows to avoid discomfort and seasickness problems. In addition, Orphie boats has developed a partnership with Riding Watt which offers fun and all-electric leisure activities: the opportunity to make your first "flights" in a foil with friends in a sheltered and wild creek, at sunset.
For Cannes and the islands of Lérins-Cap d'Antibes, the service is provided by Riviera Boat Club, a very active and daring Riviera professional who wishes to complete its offer by specializing in electric water sports. Orphie Boats also wants to be part of this hybrid vision of rental: both traditional (one shot) or more contemporary (by subscription) and always with a high degree of associated services.
Reservations and prices 2022euros
Reservations can be made directly from the Orphie Boats website for the 2 units, or directly with the 3 partners. For 2022, the current number of Orphie 29 does not allow to propose dry rental, but it will be the case from 2023. The public rates are within the standards of the profession as long as it offers local expertise in navigation, new and chic units with professional crews and in adequacy with marine areas "with high heritage value and added lifestyle": 400 euros the tour of 2 h in day, 500 euros for Sunrise and Sunset, 800 euros the half-day and 1300 euros the day (professional sailor with personalized service of the customers, no fuel costs of course! and embarked aquatic equipment included).
and the "Orphie Shifters" offers 2022-2025
The handling of an electric boat requires some advice mainly on the new power/silence ratio, and especially on the maneuvering with a 5.30 m wide trimaran, but it remains simple (not only thanks to the bow and stern thruster). Her sailing style lends itself perfectly to the evolution of user profiles as well as to the way we consume the moment at sea: a quest for meaning, for performance, with knowledge of one's needs and resources, coupled with an active awareness of the protection of the coastal ecosystem.
"A service and pricing policy to encourage people to switch from thermal to electric boats is a must to encourage users to come to our new experiences. There are two main lines of action: over the long term, starting in 2022, to welcome and empower new users and, during targeted operations during the seasons starting in 2023, to attract the historical semi-rigid or open clientele."
From 2022 and until at least 2025 (the year of the first ten-year progress report on the energy transition called for by the time) the "Orphie Shifters" offer is an immediate discount with accompaniment service at sea and handing over of the maneuvering and the art of navigation more particularly targeted at holders of coastal permits 2019 (the year of the inaugural pencil stroke of the project), 2020, 21 and 22, on presentation of the certificate by at least one of the members of the group of customers. So much for being the Queen or the King of the Euro party!
In 2023, with the deployment of a fleet of 10 units in the Mediterranean and a new range (Open 32), the "Orphie Shifters Plus" offer will be aimed at experienced yachtsmen wishing to discover our electric offer. It will consist of an immediate discount and a handover at the port of departure.
