Be careful, discovering this sailboat may leave traces. Indeed, the Hallberg-Rassy 50 has a charming side that does not leave one indifferent. Enter this interior and discover the spaces, the volumes and especially the omnipresence of varnished wood. We are here in the heart of traditional yachting. No doubt about it, the swedish yard does not seek to make light work of it, but on the contrary to play with noble materials for the pleasure of the owner.

Because this 16.34 m sailboat is intended for a happy couple. A couple who will be able to receive their guests in the forward cabin. On the other hand, this lucky owner will occupy a real suite located at the back. It is accessed by a passageway, or rather a corridor, partly occupied by the kitchen. The aft cabin with its king-size bed in the center and its desk also has its own bathroom. One will appreciate the circulation on the same level from the back to the front of the boat.

In the saloon, two incredible armchairs face a table. On the starboard side, the chart table allows you to relax in the cockpit.

For it is the characteristic of this sailing boat, that to offer comfort without making the impasse on the life at sea, when it becomes bad and that the conditions require to be held. Thus, one will notice the numerous handrails and the support points of the boat.

But all this wood ends up weighing heavily in the balance. Doesn't this penalize the performance of this boat too much? Designed by German Frers, a renowned architectural firm, the Hallberg-Rassy 50 has a very generous sail plan. No less than 150 m2 of sail area upwind. A fixed bowsprit (with a beautiful effect on the bow) also allows the addition of downwind sails. All this beautiful sail area is maneuvered with hydraulic furlers. A real child's play from the helm station in the cockpit. Note that this first model had even opted for a carbon mast, with mainsail on furler. A first at this level.

The cockpit, a central cockpit like all Hallberg-Rassy, is protected by a rigid windshield. It is therefore comfortable and above all very safe. And for port maneuvers, the Hallberg-Rassy 50 is equipped with a 110 hp Yanmar engine and 2 thrusters (bow and stern). The engine room, worthy of a trawler, is a model of its kind.

You are seduced? But don't ask for the price of such a top-of-the-range unit, the shipyard will laconically answer you: "on estimate". Indeed, the list of options is so large that it is difficult to formalize a price for this exceptional sailing boat.
