StellarCat is a new brand of power catamarans, based in Fort Lauderdale, USA. The first two models of 20 and 25 m will be built entirely of aluminum and named StellarCAT AL20-2 and StellarCAT AL25-2.
Large living spaces
Both models offer accommodation for up to 6 cabins plus two crew cabins for the largest model, with the 20-meter model offering 5 cabins. Large deck spaces and living space are the hallmarks of this range, which also offers different Volvo IPS engine configurations with maximum speeds of 30 knots and a maximum range of 3,600 miles. Their design is not extravagant, with fairly classic lines, a large flybridge, a tender garage at the rear, a trampoline at the front and a hydraulic platform.
Full aluminum construction
What differentiates them from the market is the aluminum construction. Some French builders have tried it - Garcia with the Explocat sailboat or JFA Yachts with semi-custom sailing or motor boats - most of these boats being small series projects. Apart from the fact that each model can be customized to the owner's desires, since aluminum construction does not require a mold, this material also offers many advantages, including strength, longevity and corrosion resistance. It is also highly appreciated by professionals.
