We have already presented the guide of fish and marine species of the Mediterranean a guide realized with the collaboration of the National Park of Port-Cros. This work is complemented by the guide to the birds of the Mediterranean coast and islands and the guide to marine mammals. This collection already has 29 titles, most of which are intended for terrestrial species.
All these guides are built on the same model. Each page presents a species with a text describing it (ecology, diet, behavior, reproduction, protection) accompanied by a data sheet (classification, size, depth...), a photograph and a drawing to recognize them. At the end of the book there is a notebook to bring your own notes and discoveries.
Thus, one can discover 80 species of fish or 80 species of birds (all present in the Mediterranean) while 19 species of marine mammals are described in the third book. These guides are very useful when approaching the shore, whether you are a pedestrian or a sailor.
