A first yacht for Wally
The Italian manufacturer Wally has specialized in the production of high end, fast open launches. But it is a whole project that will be unveiled in the fall of 2021, the WHY200, a futuristic superyacht of 27 m (88 feet) in length. This spaceship was designed by Wally's Luca Bassani team and developed in collaboration with the engineering department of the Ferretti Group, which acquired the brand in early 2019.

50% more living space than a yacht of the same size
According to the manufacturers, the WHY200 offers up to 50 % more living space than a yacht of the same size, with the elimination of the main deck passageways, and thus offers a surface area worthy of a 33-metre boat. Thus the large saloon built across the entire width of the boat offers a surface area of 61 m2, equipped with a central carbon fibre staircase linking the accommodation on the lower deck to the upper deck, with a glass roof in the extension of the windscreen. A galley can also be located on this main deck.

But the masterpiece of the boat is undoubtedly her 37 m2 owner's suite installed at the front of the main deck and equipped with a huge uninterrupted glazing offering a 200° vision. This glazing runs uninterruptedly across the entire main deck.

200 m2 of interior living space
A total of 200 m2 of interior living space - an upper deck of 22 m2 and interior spaces of 100 m2 - are offered by the WHY200. The lower deck offers a classic layout of 3 to 4 cabins with private bathrooms. The crew quarters are also very spacious, with a 32 m2 area accommodating a galley and three cabins for 5 crew members.

Well-protected outdoor living areas
Outdoor living areas are equally large and protected from the elements. On the upper deck, the roof with its side glazing and bay window provides protection for the dining and relaxation area. The cockpit is located at the bow, separated from the living area by sliding glass doors. The rear of the deck is dedicated to a beautiful sunbathing area.

The cockpit offers a second dining and sunbathing area, and is fitted with folding bulwarks to create a large 32 m beach club. When deployed, they provide access to two garages to store a 4 m tender and numerous nautical toys.

20 knots maximum speed
The WHY200 reaches a maximum speed of 20 knots in "hyperdrive" mode thanks to a Volvo Pod propulsion system. It has also been optimized for cruising in displacement and semi-displacement mode, presenting itself as a hybrid between fast, gliding yachts and heavier displacement yachts offering low speeds.
To ensure a comfortable life at anchor, the WHY200 has a wide and stable hull and finned and gyroscopic stabilisers.
