Superyacht 30XP hybrid: Numarine bets on autonomy and acoustic comfort

Designed for long-distance exploration, Numarine's 30XP features hybrid propulsion. This compact superyacht offers a convertible sundeck and remarkably quiet sailing. Focus on the Turkish shipyard's design choices.

Turkish shipyard Numarine continues to expand its explorer yacht range with the launch of the second model of the 30XP, a 30-meter model featuring a diesel-electric hybrid engine. This 213 GT yacht is aimed at customers looking for long range, acoustic comfort and outdoor-oriented architecture. Here are the technical features that characterize this ocean cruiser.

A compact superyacht designed for offshore autonomy

The Numarine 30XP targets a range of 3,500 miles at 8 knots, thanks to a hybrid drive system comprising two electric motors powered by four 108 kW diesel generators. This system reduces noise and vibrations, while optimizing fuel consumption at low engine speeds.

The motorization remains modular: the platform also allows conventional propulsion with two 560 hp MAN engines. In both cases, maximum speed is around 13 knots, with a cruising speed of around 12 knots. This flexibility may be of interest to owners still hesitating to take the all-electric step over long distances.

Interior and exterior design for life at sea

The 30-meter yacht adopts a "raised pilothouse" deck layout, designed by Can Yalman. This architectural choice optimizes the available volume without altering the yacht's lines. The design favors large windows and circulation between interior and exterior spaces, with a main salon opened wide by sliding side and aft doors.

The layout includes an owner's suite at the front of the main deck, with private access to a balcony terrace. The night section, on the lower deck, comprises four guest cabins, all equipped with large panoramic portholes. Particular attention has been paid to acoustic comfort: noise levels fall below 40 dBA when sailing, with a peak measured at 38.1 dBA in the owner's suite.

A back beach that can be transformed into a beach club

A particular highlight of the 30XP is the layout of the aft beach club. Thanks to folding side platforms, the area reaches 46 square meters, with the volume freed up by raising the upper deck. This area is ideal for water-based leisure activities, swimming or relaxing at water's edge.

A side garage houses a 5.65-meter tender, launched to starboard via a side door. This frees up the cockpit and provides direct access to the water from the aft deck. Three steps are all that's needed to get from the main deck to the aft deck, enhancing the fluidity of circulation.

Habitability designed for crew and long-distance cruising

The 30XP is designed to be managed by a crew of four, plus a captain. Technical areas are designed for easy maintenance and separate management of crew and guests. The flybridge, accessible from inside or out, offers a large open-air living space, with bar, sunbathing and dining areas.

This upper deck extends over an area rarely reached in this class of compact yachts. The overall width of 7.5 meters allows efficient distribution of space without compromising maneuverability.

The Numarine project and its environmental commitments

Based in Istanbul, the Numarine shipyard has specialized for two decades in the construction of semi-custom explorer yachts between 22 and 45 meters. The XP range introduces elements of sustainability: low-impact materials, recycling systems and low-consumption equipment. Solar panels can be installed on the hard-top to power certain on-board circuits.

The shipyard collaborates with Silent Line for the acoustic and thermal treatment of its units, a partnership that has resulted in some of the lowest levels of comfort measured on board a yacht in this category.
