The Tricat shipyard announces a new model for its range of trimarans in 2021. No more denominations in feet (20, 25, 30...) place to the Tricat 6.90 (6.90 m). This model was designed by the shipyard's design office, a design validated (and slightly modified) by the house architect Jack Michal.
The Tricat 6.90 has been imagined to meet a young clientele (a family and 2 children) eager to have fun at sea, not to frighten children with the cottage, and to be able to cruise without ruining themselves. The price of the boat has therefore been perfectly studied to meet these specifications.

So if the boat is still built in Brittany in infusion, the pivoting link arms are not made of pure carbon, but have a core of aluminium with a fibre fairing. This type of solution makes it possible to offer the boat in its standard version at 52,500 euros including tax. A price identical to a cruising monohull of equivalent size.

The site offers 3 levels of equipment seeking to meet 3 programs:
- The version standard has a floor price ready to sail with jib and mainsail. In this simple configuration, the daggerboards (always sabre daggerboards in the floats) are still made of carbon just like the rudder blade.
- The version family is better equipped to allow for a few nights on board. We will find for example a kitchen and especially a "nomadic electric kit" with its battery, its 2 aluminium-cigar sockets to recharge mobiles and lighting. Once the battery is empty, we take it ashore to recharge it.
- The version Premium offers a more substantial equipment with thicker mattresses, cockpit or saloon table, additional storage equipment and a complete electrical system.
Note that these 3 versions are available in a Sport version on which the mast is identical, but which gains a longer boom to support a mainsail with a horn and a jib with a larger overlap. The retractable bowsprit does not change in this Sport version.
