The family cruise
The Northman 1200 - a 12.26 m trawler distributed in France by Catway - makes it possible to enjoy a long-distance cruise with the family in the greatest comfort. Its programme is simple: low consumption, low engine power and reasonable speed. It is in this sense that the Northman 1200 is equipped with a displacement hull with a straight bow, which also ensures good stability for a comfortable passage at sea. Its long keel further enhances the boat's balance, while providing protection for the propeller and rudder.
Sailing at your own pace
With a 110 HP engine, the boat reaches a cruising speed of 8 knots. It is also possible to opt for 2x110 HP or a single 250 HP engine. The Northman 1200 fully meets its program by consuming only 9L/hour at 8 knots.
Easy circulation and beautiful outdoor spaces
Traffic on board is easy thanks to the wide side decks, and totally safe thanks to the handrails and high stanchions. Access from the bow bench seat to the cockpit is protected by the roof cap and extended by a beautiful bathing platform, ideal for swimming at anchor. The Northman offers an additional relaxation area on the roof with a sunbathing area, accessible from a staircase on the port side of the asymmetrical windshield. This unusual layout frees up space in the cockpit, while giving the boat a modern look.
The Northman 1200 is also available in a flybridge version with a helm station, a U-shaped saloon and a sunbathing area.
A warm interior
Access to the saloon is on the same level as the cockpit via sliding windows. It is also possible to create a cockpit bar with direct access to the galley. The latter is equipped with a bench seat and a hydraulic table can be installed there as an option.
The interior is comfortable and carefully fitted out for long cruises.
The galley on the starboard side is equipped with a refrigerator as standard, gas hobs and storage space. The saloon on the port side allows you to dine with your family around the large table. As an option, it is even possible to opt for a television.
The starboard cockpit is spacious and has a well-equipped instrument panel. To facilitate manoeuvring, the pilot can use the side door and exit directly onto the foredeck. Also for easy navigation, the Northman 1200 is equipped with a bow thruster as standard. And for ventilation purposes, the sunroof is electric.
Development
Below deck, this trawler of only 12 m accommodates three cabins and two bathrooms / w.c.. The owner's cabin is located forward with a double bed accessible from both sides. The other cabins are symmetrical and located on either side of the boat.
