There were 131 professional photographers from around the world who entered the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image of the Century award. Each year, the award is given to the most beautiful sailing competition photographs taken during the year. But this year, the game changes a little as it celebrates the most beautiful images taken since the beginning of the 21st century, i.e. since 1 January 2001.
The jury has just unveiled its Top 20, which includes 9 French photographers, and thus the big winner. Other countries represented include Germany, Spain and Australia (2 photos), New Zealand, the Netherlands, Russia, Poland and China (1 photo).
The winner will be announced on November 24th. The public can also vote for their favourite image - and not just from among the 20 selected photos - until 24 November 2020.
