Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image, vote for your favorite sailing photo

The Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image 2023 jury took advantage of the summer to select the 80 pre-finalists in the competition for the most beautiful sailing race photo. The public now has until November 8 to vote for their favorite photo. 20 photos will be selected and 3 rewarded at the METS Trade B to B boat show in November.

A record number of entries for the 2023 edition of the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image

The Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image 2023 photo competition is now open. The public has until November 8 to elect the most beautiful yacht racing photo from among the 80 images selected. This year's competition once again proves the enthusiasm of professional photographers. No fewer than 144 entries were received from 30 different nations. A new record.

Three prizes awarded at the METS BtoB boat show

The six members of the international jury - professional sailing photographer and Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image Award 2022 winner Nico Martinez, World Sailing's Head of Sustainable Development Alexandra Rickham, Voiles et Voiliers journalist Laurène Coroller, World Sailing's Director of Communications and Digital Scott Dougal, German News Agency & Yacht journalist Tatjana Pokorny and Mirabaud & Cie SA Managing Partner Nicolas Mirabaud from Switzerland - selected the finalists. Of the 80 selected, 20 images will be chosen, and three prizes will be awarded: the public vote, the grand prize winner of the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image, elected by the jury, and the delegates' prize, based on votes cast by visitors to the show.

The final selection will be presented at the METS BtoB boat show in Amsterdam, November 15-17, in the presence of the photographers.

French photographers and sailors particularly represented

France was particularly well represented this year, both in terms of the number of photographers online and the images presented. The overall winner was Charal, photographed from every angle and 5 times in the running. The IMOCA class is also particularly well represented, with boats such as Malizia Sea Explorer, Biotherm, Holcim PRB, Macif Santé Prévoyance, L'Occitane en Provence and skipper Thomas Ruyant.

French artists include no fewer than 16 photographers, including Gilles Martin Raget, Ewan Le Bourdais, François Van Malleghem, Thomas Deregniaux, Anne Beaugé, Clément Gerbaud...
