Test / Accommodation and life on board the Excess 15, a modern style

The layout of the Excess brings a new lease of life to the great catamaran family. Clearer, more modern and simpler, it does not overshadow the essential functions of comfort.

Ergonomic spaces

The roof, 30 cm shorter than the Lagoon 50 whose Excess 15 draws the general plan of these arrangements, does not impede good circulation on the saloon-cockpit living platform. On the contrary, an impression of space, created by the removal of a chest of drawers or a piece of equipment here and there, emerges as soon as you step aboard. As the technology is already in place, the distribution already known, ranging from three to six cabins, with as many bathrooms, is repeated here. However, the more modern finishing of the stowage space frees up space and creates the pleasant feeling of a larger boat.

A younger, but very neat decoration

The decorative finishes seem simpler, but with lighter, matte varnished alpi teak woodwork, just as noble and combined with matte white panels and grey composite structural element finishes, they end up adding a touch of natural class. The care given to the woodwork is evident in the rounded corners and openwork joints. Several mood choices are also available with matching upholstery and cushion colours. The atmosphere is modern, chic and just a little bohemian at the same time.

Everything in the right place

Because performance doesn't always rhyme with Spartan spirit, the accommodations have been designed to provide passengers with the best possible comfort. King size beds in islands have been installed despite the smaller width of the hulls. The two-part galley has everything you need not to get depressed at sea, the bathroom in the owner's cabin is grandiose, and the saloon converts into a dining room with a folding table on a jack. There is no flybridge, but the cockpit, very spacious, can be discovered thanks to a sliding hood integrated in the roof cap.
