The designer Pierpaolo Lazzarini of the Lazzarini design studio - who has made a name for himself with his concept of Jet Capsule - unveils its latest yacht concept, the Avanguardia. This 137-metre-long megayacht, whose name means "avant-garde", takes its name from the "avant-garde" installation in the cockpit, which is reminiscent of a swan's head.
Inspired by a Japanese manga from the 70s, the "head" is the nerve centre of the yacht's control and manoeuvres. It unfolds to come to rest on the water and release a 16 m tender. It can also be fully enclosed in the superstructure. A second steering position will allow the yacht to continue sailing without the swan's "head".
At the stern, a large circular garage can accommodate two Jet Capsule, which can also serve as auxiliary propulsion for the boat. A large garage with side openings can also store many toys and cars.
Avanguardia offers 5 decks with a freeboard height of 18 m and can accommodate up to 60 passengers. The numerous circular terraces provide relaxation areas and swimming pools, while the upper decks accommodate two helipads.
For the main propulsion, the designer chose two fully electric motors. In addition, a Rolls-Royce MTU internal combustion engine will provide a maximum speed of 18 knots. Although this is only an exercise in style, the designer revealed that his project could see the light of day if a customer showed interest. But like any design exercise, the architectural feasibility of the structure still needs to be checked..
