With more than 300 words described and often illustrated, the Abécédaire du plaisancier is a pretty dictionary of the practice of our passion. It is intended for all those who practice yachting, sailing, motor for all outings at sea.

The book is divided into 2 parts: a first part in the form of illustration plates (50 plates) has with each time a theme. The second part contains the alphabet from A to Z. All the illustrations are computer drawings (no photos) sober enough and very simplified to make the reading readable.

This book is intended for a neophyte who would like to quickly acquire the basic vocabulary to practice boating. This book could easily complement the training for a nautical licence for example.

While one can reproach a certain lack of warmth given the simplicity of computer-generated drawings, it is difficult to fault the definitions given in this primer. This book will therefore be very practical to begin with, the access through the numerous illustrations also making you want to discover more.
