Quiz : Associate each skipper with his ocean racing boat

You keep working on your brainpower by taking the quizzes at Bateaux.com. Today, we're changing our focus and tackling ocean racing. Will you be able to link each skipper to his boat on course? (not necessarily current)?

1 - Tag Heuer is a 43.60 m schooner built in 1993 by the former skipper of Ecureuil-d'Aquitaine I to participate in the Vendée Globe. The latter is the largest racing monohull in composite construction, but suffered heavy damage during its first outing and finally did not participate in any race.

6 - The VO65 Racing for The Planet will be skippered by a French ocean racer during the next edition, which will start in November 2021. A new objective for this skipper who spent several years in Class40 and Figaro.

7 - The Maxi Edmond de Rotschild is one of the most coveted Ultimates on the circuit and is skippered by an all-rounder in sailing. This boat designed by Guillaume Verdier is the first maxi-multihull ocean racer designed to fly on the high seas.

8 - The Pogo Foiler is a Mini 6.50 designed by Structures to race in the prototype category. Designed by Guillaume Verdier, it is capable of flying when conditions are right, but is also comfortable in light airs. It finished 4th in the 2019 Mini Transat in its category.

9 - Adrien is a 25.70 m long aluminum monohull designed for round-the-world record attempts against wind and current. And it is on board that he will win this record in 2004. He is still unbeaten.

10 - Campagne de France is an IMOCA built in 2006 for the Swiss skipper Dominique Wavre. Today, she will be used for the first Vendée Globe attempt of this skipper, previously one of the figures of the Class40.

11 - It was aboard the catamaran Royal & SunAlliance that this skipper participated in the Jules Verne Trophy in 1998. This all-female crew unfortunately dismasted off New Zealand.
