If there is one bar that is worth a visit, it is the Peter Café Sport, located in the Azores, on the island of Faial. A mythical place since its creation in 1918, it welcomes sailors who call at the heart of the Atlantic, before the great transatlantic race. This bar is known all over the world, as evidenced by the many colourful flags of all countries.
Ti Beudeff - Groix, France
From the Azores to the Brittany coast, Ti Beudeff is an institution. Created in 1972, it is the mythical bar for sailors, known all over the world. Facing the roadstead of Lorient, for all the sailors who call at Groix, this bar is a must.
Sailors meet there around a rum, singing and listening to sailors' songs, all in a relaxed and warm atmosphere.
Le Select - Gustavia, Saint-Barthélemy
Since 1949, the Select has been welcoming sailors stopping off in Saint-Barth for a rum on the terrace, shaded by the trees. A beach bar in the heart of the city, conviviality is the order of the day, as everyone wants to find their place around one of the many wooden tables outside.
The New Inn - Tresco, Scilly Islands
The island of Tresco is the second largest island of Scilly. Known for its exotic garden and the famous Old Grimsby anchorage, it is also home to a must for visiting sailors, the New Inn, a traditional pub with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You can enjoy a pint on its flowered terrace or simply enjoy a good shower after a long sail.
Mango Bay - Le Marin, Martinique
In Martinique, if it is an unmissable meeting place for sailors, it is the terrace of Mango Bay which overlooks the Marin marina. The atmosphere is there, ti' punch and lagoon-coloured water.
