Discovery / Rhea 32, new design for the Rhea Marine shipyard

With the Rhéa 32, available in helmsman or open version, Rhéa Marine brings modernity to its range. For this new model, he has hired a new architect, the firm Berret Racoupeau.

A more modern design

While the classic DNA of the shipyard can be clearly recognised through the frigate on the hull or the tuliped bow, the lines signed Racoupeau are more modern with tauter sheers and a straight bow. The shipyard has also made the choice of modernity through the outboard propulsion (2X350 HP) which allows the Rhéa 32 to reach the maximum speed of 50 knots.

For the exterior, the designer chose a white gel coat - instead of the usual ivory colour - and black glazing structures that play the modernity card, in combination with wood and chrome.

Ease of movement

In the large cockpit - easily accessible from the beautiful starboard aft platform - there is a rear bench seat that is mounted on rails and therefore movable. A folding seat to starboard and a table complete the overall layout. It is possible to transform the dining area into a generous sunbathing area.

It is easy to move to the foredeck where there is full sunbathing or reclining seats. As on the Rhéa, the bulwarks are well secured with wooden ledges and handrails on the front. Two hatches allow easy access on board, bathing or hauling fish. Because if the Rhea 32 is first of all a cruise boat, it can also be declined as a refined fishing boat by equipping it with specific equipment.

A beautiful and comfortable cabin

In the helmsman's version, there is a beautiful cabin equipped for cruising: galley with stove, oven, sink and refrigerator to port, saloon to starboard, armchair to port and steering position to starboard. The latter has a double bench seat with a tilting backrest that can be used as a saloon bench. It has a large dashboard that can accommodate all the navigation instruments. The cab is bright and well ventilated thanks to the three sliding doors - rear and side - and the large roof panels.

A clever night space

The night space is separated from the rest of the cabin by a wooden sliding door. It has a double bed in the front and a mid-cabin. Access to the latter remains difficult due to the V-shaped cut of the site and the height is quite reduced. Instead, this space will be used to store things or for small children.

A bathroom with washbasin and shower completes the cabin facilities. Note the care taken in cutting the massive wooden door.

In the cabin, you can enjoy a nice height under the deck thanks to the sunbathing. The latter benefits from an opening on the bow, by opening the hood covered with the sunbathing area. The space can be easily ventilated, but the area can also be used to store fenders or tips when manoeuvring.

Beautiful finishes

We recognize the quality of the finishes of the Rhea Marine shipyard - the two-tone lining, the retractable taps, the wood cuts are impeccable, the handrails are numerous and the storage is well thought out, in this model that preserves all the know-how of the shipyard.

The Rhéa 32 is also available in an Open version with an outdoor kitchen. The latter nevertheless retains four berths below deck as well as the washroom.
