The Pardo 38 is an 11.90 m dayboat that completes the range of the Italian shipyard Cantiere Del Pardo from below. In the manner of the Pardo 43 and 50, it has clean lines and a walkaround deck plan and that distinctive vertical bow. To maintain a modern and neat design, the portholes are exclusively on the deck side.

With a width of 3.5 m, the yard has managed to keep wide gangways - almost the same width as those of the 43 - well protected by safety bulwarks, the height of which increases as you go forward. So, even lying on the recessed sundeck, you feel safe.

On the main deck, we find the same style of layout: a beautiful bathing platform at the stern, an opposite saloon for 6 people that converts into a full sun deck, a 3-door galley with hob, sink and fridge. It is also possible to opt for one or two drawer fridges slid under the front seats of the dining area.

The helm station is spacious with three comfortable armchairs (armrests, sit-on-sit steering) and protected by a curved carbon T-Top. The driver sits in the middle and has a large driving console for installing a navigation screen and other on-board instruments as well as a joystick.

In contrast to the other two larger models equipped with Volvo Penta's IPS system, the Pardo 38 comes with two 280 HP Volvo V6 inboard engines as standard (370?800 euros). As an option, up to 2 D 4?300 CH (423?000 euros incl. VAT) and up to 2 D6 of 440 CH (472?200 euros) can be installed. An outboard engine is also available with 2x300 HP (390?600 euros incl. VAT) and up to 3x300 HP (418?200 euros incl. VAT).

The engine block has been advanced by 1.20 m allowing the Pardo 38 to have a long shaft. "The boat sails flat and thanks to the automatic trim, turns flat as well. Maximum speed is 37.3 knots." explains Alexandre Boussin, importer of the brand (Port d'Hiver Yachting).
At the bow, the anchor is cleverly concealed in the bow, while a camera replays anchoring operations on the console's GPS screen.

Below deck, there is a double cabin at the bow with a nice headroom. At the stern, a mid-cabin is fitted with twin beds. To be able to stand in the mid-cabin, the builder has gained space under the cockpit seats. The shower room is made bright thanks to the skylight provided by the deck porthole and has a sink, a toilet and a hand shower.

The interior space is spacious and bright, again thanks to the deck porthole (installed under the sundeck) and the side portholes inserted in the sundeck structure. The materials - light woods and white linings - also contribute to lightening the room while giving a sober and elegant look to the layout.

Note the first descent step, which is a little low and will require a bit of gymnastics for the younger ones. Air conditioning and generator are optional to transform the Pardo 38 into a real cruise ship.
