On the Azimut 2019 Challenge, the mediamen also won victories

This Thursday, September 19, 2019, at 1:08 p.m., the 21 IMOCAs of the Azimut Challenge set off in doubles for the 48 h Azimut. Some boats had a mediaman on board to make images and videos. This is an opportunity for them to participate in the contest launched by the Challenge organization. Discover the winners in pictures and on vidéo?!

For 48 hours, the 42 Azimuth Challenge may have been filmed in the middle of the regatta. For during the 665-mile long race between Lorient and Lorient, 20 media men (17 men, 3 women) boarded the 21 IMOCA boats racing to take photos and videos.

This is an opportunity for the organization to launch a contest to determine the best video and photo. So 11 videos and nearly 27 photos were proposed, allowing the participants to get into the heart of the 60-foot monohulls in the middle of the race.

Following a vote by Internet users, Ronan Gladu, on board MACSF with Isabelle Joschke, wins with "a raw, highly immersive digest on board the IMOCA, to be listened to with sound for atmosphere..."

To discover all the videos, the link is at the bottom of the page. They are available on the Youtube channel of the Azimut Challenge, in the dedicated playslist "Concours Vidéo 2019".

On the photo side, it is Jérémie Sorel on board V and B - Mayenne who wins this contest.
