Sika 591, the all-purpose adhesive on a boat

Versatile and versatile, Sika 591 covers 80% of the uses of a mastic adhesive that may be required on a boat. This new product, which complements the range, will be a valuable ally for DIY boaters.

Few new products are available at Sika. Indeed the range is already very complete and above all very effective. Indeed, whether you are a professional or a yachtsman, it is difficult to tinker with a boat without using Sika. To install deck fittings or glue equipment on board, it is customary to use Sika 291i. This polyurethane adhesive is flexible and strong, but it does not tolerate UV rays.

More versatile than the 291i

By incorporating silicone into its composition, 591 is more universal. It remains a versatile adhesive, but which also supports UV rays. It can therefore be used both indoors and outdoors. Fungicide, it also prevents the formation of mould.

The 591 is vibration resistant (due to its flexibility) and can be sanded and painted. It will therefore be ideal for the installation of listons, fittings, fenders and even for all non-ferrous metal bonding (aluminium, tin, copper...) that is often found on board boats, especially on deck fittings.

A small green touch, the 591 is "clean" since it is manufactured without isocyanates, solvents or PVC, phthalates and tin catalysts.

The Sika 591 is available in particular in the stores of the Accastillage Diffusion network in 3 colours (steel grey, white and black) in 300 ml cartridges at ?13.95 including VAT.
