In September 2018, Charlotte Nicod published her book on Tivano's family adventure: "From Seas to Mother". We presented this first version to you when it was released. Today the book is republished, corrected and embellished with some photos at the end.
Indeed, after the birth of Élie, the third blonde head of this family crew, Charlotte had time to reissue her book, which is now distributed by the independent bookshop La Galerne in Le Havre. And the latter even offers delivery!
For those of you who don't know Tivano, we followed this crew who took off on a big cruise aboard a Haliotis 38 with Pierre, the skipper, Charlotte, the mother who discovers the sea, and their two children Julia and Gabriel (2 years old and 1 year old at the beginning). After a departure from La Rochelle, there followed a transatlantic crossing, then the passage of Panama before landing in Polynesia.
This book tells the family's sea adventures, but seen from the perspective of the mother who has to deal with the whole family management. With no hidden words, Charlotte shares her vision of being a teammate mother with two young children.
The subtitle "A small family experience of a life punctuated by the singing of sails and the whispering of stars" shows how, despite the difficulties encountered, the failure to find its fullness and the wisdom of life today. This unpretentious little book that can be read in a few hours is a kind of explanation of the path to take. An ideal reading for those who would like to cast off with their family one day.
