A forced-air heating system that also produces hot water

Wallas is the specialist in on-board heating. Distributed in France by ATMB Marine, this year it offers a model specially designed for boats that do not have an inboard engine. Indeed, it allows to heat the cabin, but also to make hot water on board.

For cabin heating, the Viking Combi operates on forced air like other Wallas heaters. A small boiler that burns diesel fuel heats air that is then transported on board the boat through ducts, pushed by an electric fan. Anything new on this model?

The strength of the Viking Combi is that it can also make hot water. The small boiler heats a cumulus that will keep the water warm for several hours. On boats, we are used to heating domestic hot water (shower, dishes...) using the inboard motor and its cooling system. But what to do on boats with outboards? The Wallas Viking Combi fills this gap.

To facilitate assembly (avoiding wiring), and for life on board, this heater has Wifi and Bluetooth connections. It can be controlled via a remote thermostat or even via your smartphone: remote heating start, temperature control, fan speed control, operating information.

The electronic unit is programmed to provide the best comfort on board. For example, it can lower the heating at night, save energy, adapt to external conditions, the condition of the batteries, etc
