Installing a Gobius probe is very easy. With a double-sided glue the probe to the outside of the tank and read the level at the probe location. The probe transmits vibrations through the tank wall and can determine, through the interpretation of the vibrations received in return, whether the liquid is at the level of the probe or not.
For all liquids, even the worst!
When installed outside the tank, the probe is always isolated from the liquid. This is very interesting for aggressive fluids (e. g. black water tank). The Gobius probe works on all types of tanks, whether metallic or plastic. With the external fixing, there is no need for a hole in the tank to limit the risk of leaks or bad smells.
One or more probes
On a black water tank, you will want to know its level when it is full. A probe placed at ¾ from the height alerts the crew to the need to empty it. On a fresh water or fuel tank, several probes can be placed over the entire height of the tank to monitor the use of the fluid. Up to 9 probes can be placed per tank.
The Gobius probe can be used for all types of fluids: water, diesel, oil, grey water, black water..
Connected via Bluetooth
The probe is powered by 12 V, but also has 2 wires to connect a relay, lamp or buzzer. When the liquid reaches the level of the probe, the lamp lights up! But reading the probe is also possible with a simple smartphone connected to the probe by a Bluetooth wireless system. Sitting comfortably in your saloon, you can monitor the tanks of your boat.
