For 10 years, Naviwatt has been the specialist in electric workboats. In La Rochelle, the Morbihan shipyard presented the Zen Pro 580, a 5.80 m semi-rigid equipped with electric propulsion. If the target is above all professional, an opening towards the world of yachting is not impossible.

An electric propulsion system

The Zen Pro 580 is the first semi-rigid model in the Zen Pro 580 range, which should soon be extended with a 6 m larger model and a 4.90 m smaller model. His particularité?? Its electric propulsion system with a maximum power of 55 kW (Torqeedo outboard engine equivalent to 80 HP), which gives it a maximum speed of 28 knots. Its 32 kWh BMW i3 battery provides 2 hours of autonomy at 13 knots and 13 hours of autonomy at 3 knots. It takes 10 hours for a full charge.

It is also possible to double the batteries and the yard is already planning to increase the power next year.

Yacht or boat tender for protected areas

If its main target is professional - for marinas - Naviwatt does not exclude the possibility of extending it to yachting "The Zen Pro does not have enough autonomy to interest the yachtsman, but it could be used as an annex for large yachts. It is a niche market where we are looking for state-of-the-art annexes. With its electric propulsion, it is particularly suitable for sailing in the Caribbean or Polynesian islands, where there are many protected areas, to go diving or snorkeling" explains Bérenger Laurent, partner in charge of the site's business development.

A simple and tailor-made layout

If Zen Pro is not the first semi-rigid with electric propulsion, it has been specially designed for, hence the difference "We had to take electrical stress into account when designing the boat, such as integrating the batteries into the hull or a box in the console." béranger explains.

Characteristically, the Zen Pro is equipped with hypalon floats and an aluminum shell for easy beauty, while being very robust. The boat is very low on the water for stability and the layout is simple "It is the spirit of the tailor-made. It was deliberately left simple so that one could imagine its layout. It also corresponds to our positioning: organic and close to nature" concludes Béranger.

The Zen Pro 580 - 5.80 m long and 2.36 m wide - promises comfort, silence and respect for the environment while guaranteeing robustness and performance. With a selling price of 75?000 ? HT, he could find his target, especially when the current trend is towards electric boats and cleaner and cleaner. What do you think about it at vous??
