The company's origins lie in an all-leather boot. Then, in the early 2000s, this model evolved, notably in terms of waterproofing, with the adoption of a breathable membrane. The Fypper boot was born.
A more watertight and solid injected sole
For 2018, this model has evolved to include an all-new sole. Previously stitched and glued, the sole is now injected directly onto the boot. The sole is made of two materials. The first is made of PU, which bonds to the boot and ensures perfect watertightness. This is followed by a rubber sole for maximum grip.
Rubber for grip
Botalo has worked on the quality of the rubber in the outsole to ensure that it is neither too soft (so as not to wear out too quickly), nor too hard to maintain a good grip. Treated in the same way as safety footwear, this rubber can withstand temperatures of 300°C and hydrocarbons.
The patterns on the underside of the soles are "car tire" type, for good water evacuation.
Genuine leather boots
Fypper boots feature a leather liner. The leather is specially treated to resist sea water. The advantage of leather is that it "forms" around the foot. Leather also provides good thermal insulation.
The upper is made from 2 materials. Either the same leather, or Cordura fabric (an extremely abrasion-resistant fabric). The Cordura version is lighter, doesn't take on water when wet, and is slightly less expensive than leather.
Comfortable boots
The upper is deliberately low to accommodate all types of calf. The insole is removable (for drying or replacement). The insole is made of materials that resist abrasion, absorb and evacuate perspiration, are breathable and offer good thermal regulation...
This boot is available in 2 colors: brown or black for the all-leather model (?219.00) and black for the model with Cordura upper (?199.00).
