The Plastimo Pilot lifejacket is one of the best-selling jackets thanks to its attractive price (from 69,00 €). Based on its experience on the top-of-the-range SL180 model, Plastimo has completely redesigned this vest for all boaters.
The new Pilot 165 has a much finer cut. It will therefore be more comfortable to wear. However, the cover containing the bladder is not too small to allow the vest to be flexible. This cover is softer and softer to the touch to offer more comfort to the user. Indeed, you don't always wear your vest with a big watch jacket but sometimes with just a t-shirt. Comfort then takes on all its importance.
A modern design
A great effort on design was also made. The zippered vest closure is an integral part of the look. Of a deliberately marked colour, it "wraps" around the vest, marking its shape well. It is a YKK double-opening zipper to quickly check the condition of the percussion head and facilitate maintenance operations.
A flexible harness loop
This Pilot 165 is available with or without integrated harness. In the configuration, without harness, the vest closes with a seatbelt type closure. For the harness version, a traditional metal buckle ensures the closure. But it is a strap buckle that takes over the harness's efforts. This single loop (it is double on the ST180) will be easy to handle to hook the carabiner from the lanyard.
A vest that can be worn in a colourful way
If all bladders remain yellow to be spotted from a distance, the covers of the Pilot 165 vests are coloured. Classically we find the red (grey zip) but also a darker black model (grey zip) and finally a bright blue with a fluorescent green zip.
Each of these three colours will be available in a manual trigger vest, automatic trigger vest (percussion with cellulose tablet) or with a Hammar hydrostatic system. Each model is available in a "with or without harness" version.
