HDS Live, Lowrance's high-end sonar products

First images of the new Lowrance HDS Live

HDS Live is the high-end series from Lowrance. Belonging to the Navico group (Simrad, B&G, Lowrance), this branch of electronic equipment is specialized in products for fishing. For the 2019 season, the HDS Live replaces the HDS Carbon series (launched just 2 years ago). These are the manufacturer's high-performance products for fishermen who are looking for the best in new technologies for detecting fish.

Presented in 16:9 format, the HDS Live combines cartography (it is a chartplotter), GPS, radar and AIS (depending on the devices connected to the network), but above all very powerful sounder functions. Thus the HDS Live embeds Active Imaging and LiveSight technologies in its integrated computer. Explanations of these different functions to track fish.

A very fine definition

Active Imaging allows a better definition of the background image. Depending on the probes installed, this 3-in-1 sonar combines CHIRP with SideScan and DownScan Imaging technologies, allowing fishermen to quickly detect schools of fish, and improves its FishReveal technology with greater clarity and more obvious target separation. The sonar allows, without changing frequency, a perfect definition of the background and displays the details clearly. The display is available in 2 or 3D, with ease thanks to the touch screen to rotate the view.

Live fish monitoring

The LiveS-ight is a device that offers a live (live) image of what is happening under the boat. You can follow the evolution of the fish and especially see your lure go down live on the screen. This is the great strength of this new HDS Live range.

4 screen sizes

HDS Live is available in 4 screen sizes: 7, 9, 12 and 16 inches. The devices can be mounted on a bracket, integrated on a dashboard and even mounted flush.

These are "hybrid" devices, i.e. you can use the multipoint touch screen or use the keyboard on the right. 4 programmable keys allow you to configure your device as well as possible.

A remote control on a sonar unit!

For the first time on a sonar unit, the HDS Live range can be controlled from a remote control. This one connected to the device via Bluetooth is fully programmable to scroll through pages or mark a waypoint from the front of the boat for example. It is up to the fisherman to choose his use according to his fishing method.
