Test / The Elan GT5, tested in video in the Winch show

Winch, the show that tests your next sailboat, is testing the Elan GT5 today. An outing at sea that allowed us to validate the seaworthiness of this top-of-the-range yacht, as well as the quality and comfort of its fittings tested at anchor.

We had the opportunity to sail on the Elan GT5 in Marseille harbor. Two days of sailing to try the Slovenian shipyard's boat in all sail configurations (jib, Code Zero, Spi...) and under all points of sail. But 2 days also to validate the pleasure of life aboard this boat by spending a night at anchor.

The Elan GT5 is the first boat from the shipyard to be deliberately designed for cruising. While the shipyard has added a higher deckhouse to offer more living space and a lot of light inside the cabin, it does not deny its origins as a builder of ocean racers by offering with the GT5, a very healthy and especially very fast sailboat.

On this series, the shipyard has succeeded in offering a very comfortable boat with a good level of finishing, without this being felt on the performance.

We have already presented you the boat test in the attached topic Here is the video of this test in our Winch program.
