If there's one boat that lives up to its name, it's the Flipper. The inverted shearing of the deck and windshield gives it a true dolphin image. This design is the fruit of the work of designers Espen Thorup and Raimo Sinninen, both Finns, who have been producing Flipper for over 50 years (the shipyard celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2014).

Imagined to enjoy the sea
In Finland, we like to enjoy the sun at its best. That's why designers imagine open boats. But you also need protection from the cold, wind and sea spray, which is why the cockpit is sheltered from the windscreen.

Life on a Flipper is very pleasant, because the boat is very open even in the forward cabin and offers a lot of light. But still, it is possible to protect yourself by closing a canopy that can even cover the entire aft section. Thus closed, this open boat becomes a real cabin-cruiser.

Family Cruise
At sleeping time, the Flipper transforms into a real double berth under the foredeck, while the outside saloon can be transformed into an outside berth. A toilet is even concealed under the starboard berth.

At mealtime, the entire crew has a table set up in the centre of the aft saloon. A small galley block on the port side with sink and stove allows for hot cooking. For swimming, this boat gives access to the bathing beaches on each side of the engine.

Traffic on the boat is very safe. Indeed, it has no side decks and everything is done from the inside. Even the access to the front deck is done with the opening of the central windshield under the pilot's eyes. This is an important factor for a father who always keeps an eye on his children. The entire cockpit is very well protected and there is no risk of getting into the water easily.

Exemplary marine behaviour
For a family cruise, you need a safe boat. But the passage to the sea, the softness in the waves is an asset that will reassure a father thinking about his children. Flipper boats are known for their hull with a well pronounced V shape that offers softness and flexibility.

When navigating, the pilot can stand with his head above the windshield or sit upright, well protected, but still conceiving of good visibility. On board, the crew is well seated in the aft saloon or in the co-pilot's seat.

A complete range
The Flipper Sport Top (ST) range has 4 models from 6 to 7.5 m. This range is well placed in terms of price since, as an example, the 640 is available bare-shell at 32,395 eurosHT. Boats to discover with Ponton Marine, its importer for France.
