Plastimo Easyfit, an ultra-light life jacket

By integrating the cover with the lung, Plastimo offers a new very light lifejacket. Easyfit with a horizontally positioned cartridge is also very well designed for women.

No more protective covers

The new Plastimo Easyfit inflatable lifejacket is distinguished by its ultra-light weight: 30% lighter than the competition! This feat is due to the lack of a lung protection cover. On a "traditional" inflatable vest, the lung is protected by a cover that opens when the vest inflates. When you wear your vest, this cover protects the inflatable lung from various aggressions (ragging, friction...).

On the Easyfit vest, it is directly the lung that makes you feel comfortable. We then understand the weight gain, but also the greater vulnerability of the product. That's why Plastimo recommends its vest for occasional wear. A visiting crew member, for example, who needs to be temporarily equipped. Not for regular use.

One cartridge installed horizontally

Another particularity of the vest is the position of the CO2 cartridge. This one is no longer vertical as on all other vests, but installed horizontally at the bottom of the vest. This position is possible because the vest is of the chasuble type, it is put on by the head. Its weight is thus at the bottom of the vest.

A collateral advantage of this arrangement is that the cartridge no longer disturbs women's breasts. A real plus for the comfort of the vest.

Lightweight, but complete

The Easyfit lifejacket falls into the category of 150 N lifejackets (it is actually 165 N) and has all the accessories required to comply with the standard (subcutal, lifting handle, reflective strips, whistle...). It is triggered automatically (salt tablet) and manually.
